Fujifilm s1800 with Kiwifotos Lens Adapter and filters

So...
I had a look around on Google trying to find out about the Kiwifotos LA-58S2600T
and the Fujifilm s1800  together just to see if it was any good and what the potential drawbacks were of it.
Also I had searched and searched but not seen anyone with pictures of using the Filter kit and what kind of  quality pictures they produce.

So I have decided to do a short review of the camera the filters and also the lens adapter.
At the bottom of the page i will upload pictures of the camera and lens in action and also links to the products I have bought as I would highly recommend al of the items

The Camera

The Fujifilm Finepix S1800 looks like a mini DSLR Its comfortable to hold and very simple to use
for the price I don't think you could get a better quality images from a camera for the same price,
In 12.2 mp 4x3 mode the images will be 4000x3000  the camera can be found for as little as £115,
Image Quality Is Excellent and the camera has a wide range of features, And Settings, Great for anyone looking for a cheap high quality camera for everyday use and also for beginner photographers,
The zoom on this camera for the price is quite simply spectacular, as well as having 18x Optical Zoom it also has 4x Digital zoom But obviously when using the digital zoom there is loss of image quality,
One feature I really like about this camera is the ability to record a voice memo for each picture which I found very useful for shots on holiday when your visiting a place you can record the name of the place or the name of the person in the picture,
the camera has macro function for Close Up images and super macro for images within 2cm which i find very useful however you can not use zoom in super macro.

The video quality is excellent considering it is not a video camera,
it records in either 320, 640 or 1280HD format
In 320 Mode on a 4GB SDHC card you will get 61 Minutes 10 seconds of recording.
in 640 Mode on the same card you will get 29 minutes 4 seconds.
and in 1280HD you will get 9 minutes 41 Seconds.

Below i will upload some images I have taken using the camera in different modes

Kiwifotos LA-58S2600T

First of all i was not expecting much for my £14,
But when the product arrived i was totally wrong it is excellent quality,
it is made of Sturdy aluminium and is even lined with a felt band around the base so it does not damage the camera in anyway whatsoever, it comes with an Allen Key which you use to tighten the Screw and Hold  the adapter in place,
the adapter itself comes in 2 parts one tube to hold a 58mm filter and another that screws into that with a thread to hold a 72mm filter.
with a 58mm filter on you will not be able to use any zoom but you will be able to use wide angle lenses without any Vignetting at all,
when the 72mm adapter is on you will get the smallest bit of Vignetting but a small bit of zoom will eliminate it (see pictures below)
With the72mm on you will be able to use full zoom and a wide range of filters and lenses such as telephoto lenses, Macro lenses an many many More (I will Provide links to items)
wile using these adapters you can also use Cokin filter holders an filters available from EBay Amazon or Play (I will provide links)
I would Definitely Recommend the Kiwifotos Adapter to anyone at all as it is well worth the £14 I paid on Play.

Filters

From Amazon.co.uk I Paid £9 for 3 72mm Neewer Filters and a case.
The filters I received were
1x Circular Polarising Filter    (CPL)
1x Ultra Violet Filer                (UV)
1x Fluorescent Daylight Filter (FLD)

Delivery was £0.99 to anywhere in the UK

FLD Filter
I Have not yet used the FLD filter.
But it is  used for correcting colour contrast under Fluorescent lighting

UV Filter
The UV filter does not have a Huge function in Digital photography it is still always handy to have for many reasons, its primary use was in film photography where it reduces haze from UV rays but on some Digital cameras and DSLR's haze can still be a problem when photographing bright scenery such as snow,
as it is not allways a problem UV filters are mostly used for Protecting your lens from scratches dents dust and sea spray.

CPL Filter
so far i have found that the most useful filter is the CPL Filter
It Polarises the light which reduces the reflection in non metallic surfaces below i have a picture I took today with the filter I bought on a car window.
Without the CPL Filter

With CPL Filter

You can see the filter is extremely effective and even though it cost very very little it has a great effect and no quality loss.

Images Al lof these images have been taken with the S1800 without a filter or lens
